“Richmond has so much potential and so many wonderful people here, but we need change if we are going to reach that potential.

“For over 20 years, I have been active in this community, engaged with various civic groups and organizations working to make a difference. I have heard the concerns and frustrations of my neighbors from all over the 3rd district and I realized that to make a difference to bring about positive change, I needed to run for City Council and bring strong, determined and knowledgeable leadership to this district.

“I am committed to the very best:

“Up to date public schools with top notch staff.

“I want to keep housing prices from escalating so families can continue to live here and seniors can keep their homes.

“We need safe and walkable streets and that means safe for pedestrians, for bicyclists, for scooters and for wheelchairs.

“City government needs to be responsive, competent and accountable. Calls need to be answered promptly and questions answered. The City needs to stand by what its employees say and residents need to be able to rely on it.

“I commit to providing consistent communication and open dialogue by hosting listening sessions, open office hours and monthly meetings around the district, responding to each and every call and email and bringing city employees to neighborhood meetings to share information.

“Over the next months, I will be knocking on doors, hosting events and continuing to meet voters in our district so I can hear your concerns and best represent you.“
